This coming year we will provide you with ideas that can help you understand and develop your key strengths. Once we learn our strengths, we can appreciate what we bring to the table. Since 2016 will be the year of teams, I see convergence between many disciplines occurring at an unprecedented rate. We will continue sharing ideas that help you get the most out of your teams.
We promise to bring you inspiring ideas that keep you moving when the inevitable challenges come up. You know they will, and we hope to share stories that help you understand you are not alone in growing an extraordinary business. So hold onto your dreams, we’re here to support you to reach your destination in 2016.
So how do you design a business and life of your dreams? We have spent the last quarter this year interviewing many midmarket entrepreneurs and executives. Their organizations range in revenue from 25 million to 1 billion dollars in annual revenue. They are privately held and many are founder-led business organizations. These leaders are considering what their next steps will be in taking their organizations to the next level.
I believe there are several topics they need to know more about. Just like last year I asked some of my long term clients to share what they saw going on. Many of my long term clients are publicly traded and have sales well in excess of 1 billion dollars. We have grown up together. They are open to sharing what we’ve learned together. They are also interested in similar topics for their leadership teams.
We developed an editorial calendar for the coming year based on what I learned. I also got a long term client to underwrite one of the key areas, so I could find new resources and people to contribute to our content. These clients also provide many introductions to people I think our readers should know more about.
The four key topics that we will be sharing ideas and resources in 2016 are:
- Building stronger teams which includes recruiting, developing, and retaining key team members for your organization.
- Enhancing and increasing CFO leadership capabilities in nonfinancial areas of responsibility.
- Increasing the success rate for midmarket organizations in mergers and acquisition activities.
- Business model redesign using technology to help increase revenue and profits.
These topics will be shared with you the way we have always done it. We bring the big ideas that are focused on growing your business to the next level. As always, we provide you shortcuts and proven implementation strategies that help you succeed in 2016.
Happy New Year to you and your team. See you here in 2016.
I promise if you keep reading and sharing, you will have your best year ever. See you next week.
